Wiped out after two busy weekends: But had tons of fun!

I've spent the past 2 weekends being a Fiber Arts Ambassador :).  Setup a "microdisplay" (5'x5') which was perfect for just me, a couple Babes Fiber Garden Spinning Wheels.
I took a drying rack full of yarn. And my drop spindle earring display.

Oh yea, where did I do this?  I was at the Amana Woolen Mills,  I want to thank them for letting me "spin in the corner"!!!

I talked to more than a thousand folks over the two weekends (pretty sure of that).  Educated many many folks on the what goes on, just to make yarn, & they appreciated any knit or woven fabric by the time I was done.  I even remembered to make a mini-slide show on my tablet, so visitors could see my wool, my bunnies, one of them in the process of her 5-month clipping!

I'm pretty sure I'd like to go again.  I have some ideas for a "poster board" that gives historic educational information on Fiber & Fabric.  It should be easy & fun for visitors (hopefully customers).

I was "void of cards" I just didn't get time to print any.  But any person with a REAL desire for information on spinning, knitting, or anything else with fibers got a postcard w/ my name, email & phone number on it. :)

Many many thanks for the wonderful folks at the Amana Woolen Mill, for their "corner" and hospitality.

Hope to get there again soon!

What are we doing today for fun?

... well, Yesterday was Derrick' baby Aria's 2nd birthday.  We went to Marion to GmaGpa Held's house.  It was fun.
We continue to surprise Derrick with "splashes" from his & his brothers' child hood.  Yesterday, the toddler Rocking Chair.  Poof...recognize it?  Oh Wow!  :)  Paper flying, things going beep, cake, singing, all that stuff.  IDK if you know (or if anyone's reading anyway) but Derrick is a "manager" at Olive Garden in Cedar Rapids.  He was selected to go to the Olive Garden Culinary School, for a week.  In Rome, Italy. All Paid!
There was MORE FUN on the trip home, but I'll save that!   JLH
